喔，我以為他們只是想要（簡單的）登記就好，不是還要搞教堂那一套......

Ja, das war der Plan. Jetzt aber möchten sie eine große, romantischeHochzeit!
Yes, that was the plan. But now, they want to have a big, romantic wedding!

原本是這樣（計畫）的，但他們現在想要一個盛大的浪漫婚禮！

Ja, das war der Plan--->Ya, that was the plan.

這裡跟英文一樣用過去式表達「原本是但現在已經不是」的意思，

所以通常後面應該會接aber

原本是這樣的...但是...

同樣的，前面的Ich dachte也是過去式(I thought)，表達的是「我（之前）以為」
