  • 3LL:
  1. Without the fancy aid of technology, you can still use the most basic thing to achieve great communication with your audience. (Color cards do just fine.)
  2. The market may be neutral, however the ethical debate is still necessary and inevitable.
  3. Know thy audience!
  • About incentive
    The puzzle of motivation
"As long as the task involved ONLY mechanical skill, bonuses worked as they would be expected: the higher the pay, ther better the performance."
"But once the task called for "even rudimentary cognitive skill," a larger reward "led to poorer performance."
I suppose....

I have studied in Germany for half year, but my course were taught in English.
Therefore, I can only speak a little German.

wurden: were
unterrichtet: taught
daher: hence, therefore

The difference between multinational and international companies

I personally prefer Andrew Hines' definition, which are
  • International companies are importers and exporters, they have no investment outside of their home country.
  • Multinational companies have investment in other countries, but do not have coordinated product offerings in each country. More focused on adapting their products and service to each individual local market.
  • Global companies have invested and are present in many countries. They market their products through the use of the same coordinated image/brand in all markets. Generally one corporate office that is responsible for global strategy. Emphasis on volume, cost management and efficiency.
  • Transnational companies are much more complex organizations. They have invested in foreign operations, have a central corporate facility but give decision-making, R&D and marketing powers to each individual foreign market.

還是

字面直譯(literal)One must always have something to look happy.
或是One must always have something that you can look forward to.

Eduard Mörike?
Eduard Friedrich Mörike (8 September 1804 – 4 June 1875)

Quote from Eduard Mörike:
or

Literally, it says "One must always have something to look (happy)" or
"One must always have something to make you happy"

Who is Eduard Mörike?
Eduard Friedrich Mörike (8 September 1804 – 4 June 1875) was a German Romantic poet.

The X at the end

The X at the end of the letter, email, etc.
What does that mean when you see people write an X at the end of letter like this.

Judy
x

or even like this,

Judy
xx

According to my friend's explanation, who is a native English speaker living in Bristol, England.
X at the end of e mails cards etc it stands for a kiss. Here we often greet friends and say good bye with a kiss on the cheek. In England it is usually men and women and women to women. Though in continental Euriope it is also men and men.
It may not like what you see at the TV show for OXOX. (Hug and Kiss)

However, I do find some other interesting fact for the kiss on the cheek.
For me, a girl from Asia, I am glad that I have adapt to that since I joined so many scouting events, including all the friends from almost every single corner around the world.
But my friends around are always interesting about how many times exactly you will need to be polite, but not over it.

Well, there's no correct answer for sure, personally, the friends I met in Germany, we usually kiss twice. And men don't kiss each other. In England, it may be once or twice.
Then, how about the French? You may check this article of the blog.
French Kissing: Just how many cheek kisses to give
This might give you some hints about that. ;-)

Judy
x
Judy
xx

XOXO---> Hugs and kisses, O=Hug X=Kiss

French Kissing: Just how many cheek kisses to give
